You will never look great in an outfit without confidence, even if you're up to date with the latest fashion, confidence is the best outfit you could wear.

1)Embrace your figure 

This is the first step not only in dressing you should know that you have to love yourself , not turning to a snob but accepting everything in you.

If you are a bit curvy you would want to wear tops that define your waist line, thinner stripes (thick stripes gives the illusion of a greater figure) , wear darker colors on the area you want to look slimmer with which means, if you have curvy hips then wear dark pants and there are dark colors other than black like brown, olive, burgundy and navy so just don't stick with black it's boring,and still you could wear bright pants but balance it with the other piece , one dark pieace and one bright piece.

  

As for skinny ladies , you should reverse the tips , wear bright colors , thick stripes and.. layers , layers will give the illusion of curves and also loose tops are yor best friend, as for pants boyfriend jeans and flared pants are the best.

Colors effect one's mood and so everyone has his/her favorite colors ,so make your own color combo.

Some characters love a calm combo like white, nude and mint , others love a bright outfit such as cobalt blue and red.
